SOLD

Announcing: 831 E Marion Street is now SOLD!
Happy faces and another great person that I have met along my way in my journey of Real Estate.. One of the many things I am thankful for this year...

Thanksgiving

Yesterday was a fun day filled with Turkey, family and fun. I am so thankful for so many things this year. I have seen God work in some amazing ways and I am excited to continue to see him in my life. I am thankful for the situations , although trying, which allowed me to draw near to God and feel him with every step I take. I am going to try to continue to give things to him and not take them on myself. Only he can make the difference. I thank him for the light at the end of the tunnel that I can start to see a glimmer of. The hope that fills my lungs and allows me to take in a full breath of air and begin to feel alive again. With this year, I am for the first time really excited about Christmas. It is about that time again to sit down and make a list of gift ideas for those I love. I am not a shopper and I hate crowds so I will not be going out to the Black Friday sales but I am excited to start planning out my course to embracing a time of year that once brought on stress and sadness and allowing God to shine the light so I can rejoice as I should be in the birth of his son Jesus who died on the cross so I can live. And LIVE is just what I am going to start to do.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Crazy Love

I just finished reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan and I have to say WOW! What an awesome book. I want for this to be a book that I do not just put on my shelf and say I read it. I want to really try to focus on how I can implement change into my life to allow me to walk in a stronger faith. I am challenging myself after reading this to just start taking steps towards change and allowing God the opportunity to open or close doors in my life. To allow him to lead me. This book changed my thinking and how I will conduct each day. I would highly recommend reading if you are looking for good book to read. If you do read it check out the Bloom Book Club to hear thoughts on each chapter and gather additional information from others reading along. A new book will be announced in December!

Have a great week!

Don't Fake the Funk

As a professional I am always looking for other professionals that I admire. Ones that I can look to for inspiration and ideas. I am blessed to have a friend who is one of those people. He and his wife are amazing people. He brings life into what he does by bringing a piece of who he is to his business. He owns Pearl Street photography and takes some amazing photo's. He shares in special moments in peoples lives but it is so much more than just a picture for him. I was reading one of his blog posts and thought it was very interesting. I thought I would share it with you. Go to http://ponderingloudly.blogspot.com/and read " a really cool workshop and real long shot". The work that both Matt and this photographer do is amazing but what is more amazing is what they bring of themselves to others. She noted in her post that she does not want to fake the funk. How refreshing those words are to me. I admire those who allow their life to run their business and not allow their business to run their lives. I feel that you can mix business with pleasure. I take much pleasure in my business. In allowing myself to walk along in the journey of each and every one of my clients. I am not in the business of selling homes, I am in the business of helping people, reaching people, touching people. Leaving that person with an experience. I hope you enjoy the post I have shared with you. Happy weekend to all my blog readers!

Reflection

Looking back over my life I realize that I may have planned too much. It is good to plan but while doing that you need to be open to the fact that God may have another plan for your life. I think that God does though want us to be prepared. Use the time he has given us and where he has place us wisely. Learn from it and grow because it is a place of preparation. I realize that I do need to plan. I need to think through each day and look into the future but maybe not to the extreme in which I was planning. Now I like to think of it more as dreaming. Dream about what is placed in your heart. Dream about where you want to go. How you want things to be. Dream about how you can use the circumstances of today to make you one step closer to that dream. Dream but also be patient and know that your dreams can come true, they will come true but all in Gods timing. Know that no matter how much you think your plan for your life is great that the plan he has for you is greater. Be joyful in where you are now even if it is not exactly where you want to be. Be willing to take a detour. That detour could turn out to be an amazing place..
